No sign of anything, if indeed "they" are going to bring a true full set out.
I've got enough to get on with, hopefully before the end of the lighter nights.

Did the first front wishbone swop over this tea time, the other one tomorrow if it doesn't rain too much Then out with the chassis black and waxoyl to touch back up again. Got to keep it shiney underneath in keeping with the stealth interior Certainly makes you understand what ticks on your car when you start ripping big things off it ;D I'm hoping that when I finish, it will be just as quiet as before, ie not a rattle or squeak any where.

jerry, you know the two rubbers that sit ontop of the shock absorber, one under the wing and the other in the hole ontop under the bonnet, can you get these in polybush yet? if not do you know where i could buy them from and what they might be called? many thanks in advance

Probably only X-part. Unlikely to wear out I would have thought. Replacement shock absorbers makers might supply urethane bushes

Got both wishbones on today, connected up the brake lines and steering rack, tightened up the subframe bolts only to find one of them is short of thread and nearly stripping. Must have been like that from new Got to find a longer bolt, re-tap the hole and hope it all tightens up again. Waxoyled behind the bumper, tidied up the fog light wiring etc. The front subframe bolts are tiny compared to the rears The only evidence of repair work is that the brake pipe support brackets are welded instead of bolted on, and the fog lights are dated one year after the car was made. Good old Mike Satur put on all the extras that were missed off later TFs, plus a good coat of paint and waxoyl everywhere ;D

Jerry, are the poly bushes available separately? When changing my wheels over last weekend I spotted my rear ARB drop link bushes looked like they may need replacing soon, but don't really want to have to buy the full polybush kit @ £400 just yet.

Yup, can get them all separately. When/if you come back I'll send you a spreadsheet with them on, which you can order direct from Polybush at Wrexham. Hayley or Ian can deal with you direct rather than a ful set via Rimmers.

Got everything bolted back on, just got to try and sort out the camber with my fiendish optical device ;D The car is level by packing, and the camber gauge on the disc is magnetic. So a lot of fiddling around needs to take place now to get what looks like the optimum readings, before I take it out to settle down the new bushes. Then it will need a full 4 wheel tracking again

Got 2 new M10 proper bolts to finish off bolting the rear of the subframe back onto the body. What a load of hassle to get 2 bolts out New wishbone back in the subframe After a bit of persuasion More like it Checking chassis is level Magnetic camber gauge showing +0.5* Just got to slot the holes for the bottom ball joint to get the correct camber when the load of the car is taken on the wishbones, ie the wishbones are under load with 2 hydraulic jacks. Wonderful what you can do with a spirit level and string. Then it's off to the 4 wheel tracking place in Cardiff to get set up ready for Sat and Sunday When that's done, I need to carefully enlarge one of the 3 ball joint holes and fit a larger set bolt to lock it all up.

Finally done it. Both wheels on 0* camber. Back on the road, just got to drive it around to make sure nothing falls off, then down to the 4 wheel alignment place to get it all checked out. Won't be doing that again in a hurry I'm still waiting for my contact to come from his hols before I can start on the rose jointed rear ;D
