Thanks Dave. I've got 2 MSA radios and Andrew has 1 now Full comms/ internet access for the rally, so might be able to get a few things onto the forum when we are out there. As radio marshalls we can't take pics on duty, but we can take turns in manning the radios ;D as we have a three man team.

You know my feelings on the Wales Rally GB, Jerry (and what does that name actually mean? ). However, there was an interesting spot on the (Radio 4) 7:30 sports news this morning where an MSA official was quizzed on how and why the rally has lost it's once iconic status and the fact that there is virtually no press or TV coverage these days - unlike the days of old! The MSA official assured the interviewer that it would all be better next year because of the inclusion of a new team - MINI. Yeah, right

It means a Great Britain Rally in Wales, in the order WRGB as you well know. Motor sport is not PC, so doesn't get the coverage that say the Ryder Cup got recently. Typical Guardian reading leftie liberal etc views that holds sway in the corridors of power. Don't get me started, vote for me instead when I form the Common Sense Party -

Back after 3 fantastic days hard work. Slept in the car on Thursday Friday and Saturday. Great fun even if we had to clear our own track on Saturday night in the rain. Looking forward to next year. Jerry did take some video of our efforts on Saturday night and will hopefully have it on his computer for next pub or Xmas meet.

Which is my point exactly Pete - a typical Welsh rally, not a GB rally And yes Jerry, for Common Sense, you'll get my vote! The real reason it's been run in Wales for some time is because it is poorer than Scotland and England in central handouts (look at NHS funding). Wales has been more willing to use Forestry Commission land for motorsport because it has reluctantly seen the economic advantages of sponsoring the event. Scotland has recently seen the light, but England has not been persuaded. With the possible sale of the Forestry Commission, we might see more use of their land for motorsport I can remember being on the start of the RAC at Ringway (Manchester) airport when Susan Hampshire started the event from a roundabout with a flag ;D ps: close up she had dreadful acne.

I'm amazed at how quickly the revs drop off when he's using engine braking entering corners, almost like a switch....ecu controlled on throttle off ??
