Do you still want that welding set Sure do - this MIG can weld lovely. But need a rod welder to weld the really thick stuff. Just welded 4 hooks on my mates bike trailer - 8-10mm thick onto 8mm steel, and the MIG just about got away with it. Stick welder would have done a better job and more controlable.

WCFI and i chatted briefly last night at xmas dinner about this and Fi is kindly going to look for watering hole for us for lunch time.we will have a run Bristol side this year and Welsh contingent can meet at long layby A466 Chepstow around 10.45am between the 2 roundabouts before going over old Severn Bridge and meeting up with group other side,this meet point to still be arranged,Dave Meet point Wales side Click PicDave + Evelyn Mike + Jan Alison Karen + Geoff Matt C Ok, just read earlier part of thread and now know where I need to be!

Well I don't know what's going on I appear to have spent most of my Christmas in Wales (of all places!) - had no time to myself! Supposed to be going to the Chepstow races tomorrow. Haven't even had time to think of a plan for our jolly - I have requested assistance from my co-pilot though ;D
