I will be on the MGoT stand (as usual on the Saturday, and am now travelling up on the Friday evening so as to allow an early start. Will doubtless see most of you 'around', but do stop and say hi if you're passing the stand .

I won't be there this year, Dawn and I will be at the Swedish national event at Angelholm staying in log cabins for the weekend. Have a great weekend, you are due some good weather.

In June 2006 when we went up there with 14 cars it was baking, I hope it's the same again this year.

Next year should be interesting (Scandinavia topic) as the European event of the Year is in Norway from June 11th - 14th (if you're interested). This is the date provisionally set for Silverstone, the Club have to decide to move Silverstone back to July or take a chance and run both events together. It makes me laugh how our Club can shoot itself in the foot in this way.

The issue re Silverstone dates though Adrian is wholly down to having to wait for Mr Ecclestone to decide a date for the Grand Prix, and the circuit won't commit any weekend dates to anyone until that is finalised

Yep we are so at the mercy of Mr Mega Bucks Ecky i'm affraid ,usually just after and always seems a lot rubbish still left laying about everywhere as not properly cleaned up after Grand Prix.

ps Jethrog (Geoff) has a weekend camping plot tkt going spare if anyone interested he & Karen have now decided against having bad backs and poshing it up in local hotel ;D please pm Geoff if your interested in having these tkts, ta Dave

you lucky ot gone to bed, i'm still wide awake and it drves me nuts, always been the same, but i'll be up in few hours and can i kip in the day? can i bugger. those that seen me at Indian Tues will have noticed i had one red bloodshot eye now i have 2 ,think theres bit of Drac in me ha ha,nearly every month i get them and don't now why, anyway as still wide awake made myself useful, been on ebay as Tues night at our meet Eve told me we need a new tent for Silverstone and Fest as all her cloths got wet campng at Pencelli event last year as it leaked in her corner of tent,a i just won one on ebay £39 instead of £100+ very nice to hi he hi ;D

Tent arrived today as is a beauty,

also today i rang my friend Jilur the owner of Indian Restaurant in Brackley The Kushboo, i have secured a big table for all of us that i invited off this thread and most of you said yes ;D this Indian i have gone to every year on the Friday evening that I've been going to Silverstone and is great and Jilur is bonkers ;D time of meal is 7.30/40pm

Greyfox has also bought a new tent as he took so much stick with his last one which was about the size of a kennel ;D we had a huge laugh at Silverstone camp site but he was a good sport about it,here is a reminder of it,and yes he did manage to get into it Just ;D Dave
