What with all the winter weather around up north today, and with pictures of County Durham more reminiscent of Lapland.....
Just image how great the Rally GB would be if it still used the proper route...

Yes indeed, I remember a start with Susan Hampshire at Manchester airport What we are left with is because no-one stands up to the PC brigade, and they win because we don't become revolting

Phew, just back in after 2 nights in snow and ice. 12v electric blanket worked fine ;D Back out again at 03.00 up to Rheola. Got some souvenirs from Henning Solberg's car which went off where I was on Thursday and their service crew had to borrow some of my tools in exchange for half of the front of his carbon fibre front body ;D Never seen a front strut changed so quickly If I have a signal, I might ring RL at lunch time

The service crews do a phenominal job - although they have it a bit easier these days with their gazeebos and plastic sheeting. No more lying in 2 inches of slush in a layby or at a road junction! Never seen a front strut changed so quickly The same goes for gearboxes and the rest Jerry . Just think of the cost (and time) for that at your local stealer. On second thoughts - don't ;D ;D ;D

Got caught on the way out of Rheola and asked to help out at Walters Arena tomorrow Malcolm Wilson of M-Sport is sorting out a play day for his service crews to drive the cars they have been servicing as a thank you. Might get some more "useful bits" In addition to the Kevlar bits PS, sorry Dave, forgot in the heat of the moment

Been asked this year to run a stage again near Bodmin - SW Audi Lombard Endurance. Got a crew of timekeepers, marshals, radios assembled ready to go down there in Feb. Last year it was freezing in the old tent, we'll see how the new one performs in wind and rain
