Hi I have been on several of these annual charity runs with Bridgend MGOC and have been made very welcome and its been a really good day out please see the email I have received below for more details :-
Dear Previous Entrants,
On behalf of all the members at Bridgend MGOC, we wish you a very Happy New Year that full of classic motoring fun.
The details for this year's Cwm to Coast Run have been confirmed and we thought you may be interested in receiving the details for inclusion in your events calendar and to book your entry. Our C2C Run this year is being held on Sunday, 12 May, starting and finishing in the Bridgend area of South Wales. The run will take in the spectacular coast and countryside scenery of South West Wales on little used lanes and byways. All the funds raised from this year’s run will be shared between local charities, including our main charity partner Sandville Self-Help Centre. As a previous entrant you will note that we have decided to hold this year's event earlier in the year. After much consideration, and as a result of a very large scale cycling event that has started to use our regular date in June, we have decided to move the date which has the added benefit of choosing a weekend when accommodation is easier to source locally for those that wish to stay over.
We have kept the cost of the run again this year to £20 per car, including a drink & biscuit at the start and a snack bag for the route to keep your fed and watered – making it great value for money. As in previous years, there will also be prizes for the farthest travelled entrant and one for the club that brings the most entrants. All makes and models of classic vehicles and modern MGs are very welcome.
There will an opportunity for all entrants to join members of Bridgend MGOC for a late afternoon post event meal at the Grove Golf Club. A delicious two-course Sunday Lunch (vegetarian option available) is priced at £15 per person. If you are interested in joining us for a meal then please indicate this in the space provided on your booking form. Monies for the meal will be collected in cash at the registration desk on the day and a voucher issued.
If you are travelling a distance then why not include the run as part of a longer stay in the area. There is loads to do and see locally and there are a good choice of hotels and B&Bs in the local area. If you need any assistance then please get in touch.
Please find attached an entry form and flyer for the run. Please feel free to forward this on to any MG or Classic Car enthusiasts that you feel may wish to join us. It promises to be a great day - hope you can join us. Please note you can pay for your run entry by enclosing a cheque, payable to Bridgend MGOC with your completed entry form or you can pay by BACs, using the following details;
Payee Name : Bridgend MGOC
Sort Code: 40-13-23
Account No: 71853139
Reference : Surname and Vehicle Reg
Please send me details of your Club or Register Run once confirmed for inclusion in our events calendar as we have many members that like to travel far and wide to take part in new events.
Best wishes,
Stu
