I replaced my fuel cap on the TF a few months ago with a tidier looking one from an F thinking that there was no difference but it sits lower in the body (not flush like the original one) and when the tank is full/half full I can smell petrol fumes .
The old cap had a blue locking mechanism on the back and the replacement has a blue and grey two piece mechanism they are different . Unfortunately I broke the original one when changing the lock barrel so does any one have a spare TF fuel cap (one piece blue mechanism) in their spares pile they want to sell to me ?

Sorry Oz, only Chinese ones in my household I bet the Chinese caps lock the fumes in the tank.

Have you had an luck? Dean from Lincolnshire often has such bits and I could ask him and we are seeing him at weekend so could pick it up.

Dean has got back -he has one but it needs lock replacing because it has no key and has a few chips on it ☹. He wants £15. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks Clara but I'm going to hold out for a tidy one but if I have no luck I might get back to him.
