Hi, I am very new to the 'mg club' having having just purchased a MG TF 135 registration number BG53 OKH which has www.swmgf.org.uk stickers on the front wings and rear valance. Does anybody from your organisation have any history of the car?

Does anybody from your organisation have any history of the car? Hi Malcolm The reg plate doesn't ring an immediate bell, what colour is it? Do you have any photos of the car? A couple more clues might make one us able to place it perhaps.

Hi, Thanks, I have some photos but I don't know how to uplift them onto this forum, if you give me an email address then I could send them that way. The colour of the car is metallic blue with black/blue leather seats. It also has (I think) non-standard 5-spoke alloy wheels. The car is still at the dealer and I am due to pick it up on Monday (1st Feb). For the first 4 years of its life is was serviced by a Unipart dealer called Welch Motor Repairs who according to Google are in Taunton. Their last stamp was Nov. 2008 and after that the book is blank. When I purchased the car last week, the dealer had some loose service records but I don't have them here.

No that's ok, no need to email me your pics, I've found it as soon as you described it and mentioned Taunton It belonged to a couple of very active members from a few years ago who lived in Taunton. It was a very pampered car with no expense spared, the owners (Geoff and Karen) had a lot of interior and other work completed at the MGF Centre in Wolverhampton. Unfortunately we lost track of it when they sold it a few years back, so I've no knowledge of its recent history. Here's a couple of photos from my archives of it out and about us on a couple of holiday trips we did:

Many thanks, from the photos I can see that the wheels have been changed and the rear light cluster is now similar to the rear of the bronze car from your photos.

These were quite old photos from around 2007/08 or thereabouts. I think they did change the wheels after that, and also had a private number plate on it for a while.
