Had both rears which were mis-matched changed to a pair of Toyosport (did this week before the Llyn Brianne run). Got a new expansion tank cap in the mail off ebay, replaced the old one which was pointed out likely fault for dumping coolant up Brynamman Mountain. Have a cabriole cover also coming in the mail soon. I stickered on the two southwalesmg.co.uk stickers Jan gave me. Hope they're on straight! Cleaned and sprayed the air intake grills silver, looks neat!

Hi, back after a couple of (work related) years absence.
Just replacing door handles on our TF at the moment.
Bought a spare wheel (to replace the aerosol) that matches the wheels on the car from the MG Center Wolverhampton last week.
They are such a friendly bunch there (Karl) and a pleasure to deal with.
Looking forward to driving the car this summer.
Alex
PS where's Dave these days?

PS where's Dave these days? Hi and welcome back Dave sold the mg and bought some fishing tackle along with Andrew and Brian. I also left for a while until I bought another mg and found that a lot of people are no longer here for various reasons but you will still find a good bunch of people and some old faces. Look forward to seeing you on a run soon

Clutch pedal is starting to be a bit slow on the return, not springy, bit spongey feeling under foot. Shifts gear OK so might be just the top of the pedal arm needing some lube. Will also check the clutch fluid level next time under the bonnet. If none of those seem to be an issue it might be slave cylinder or another harder to reach bit?

I've been working on our Trophy this week. Following the Unicorn pub night on Monday we found the fast speed wiper wasn't working. Slow and intermittent were fine. So I took the motor out yesterday and tested it tonight without any linkage or load. It definitely needs replacing - in fast wipe mode I can feel the gearing vibrating/knocking. So it's gone back in tonight and tomorrow I'll order a replacement. The wipers are working perfectly in slow mode so we're OK for Sunday's run. Forecast is good so we won't want them anyway!

Been very busy with other projects recently but now have more time on my hands for car things. Working up to an exhaust replacement. Clutch pedal issue resolved with plenty of spray grease and much holding of breath while inverted in the driver side foot well.

Attacked a couple of rust spots today. One just forward of the passenger door down near sill, and one under rear DS tail lights; had to relocate the little green and gold Union flag sticker to the other side to do the work. Need to source some HFF (BRG 3 pearl) from somewhere reliable very soon. Will live with very neat primer patches in meantime.
