as he's about the only left on here interested in oily bits Just had a clean MoT, just replaced the NSF wheel bearing; exchanging wheels yesterday noticed both top front ball joints had wear - after the MoT Anyway, one came off easily as it was the NSF and had been replaced in 2008 ish, the other was original dated 02 - at 70k+ Just shows how replacements are c**p, and that the original TRW stuff wasn't all that bad. I guess careful driving helps - avoiding bad holes etc, but still been driven enthusiastically

Oy- Ken is interested in the oily bits!!!!
As for c**p replacement parts- that is nothing new for us. We have had that problem with the midget for years and have taken to refurbishing original parts where ever possible and making parts; I can see us going the same way with the TF!

I'm here, been busy ripping a bathroom out and reinstating it....which I'm still on with !! Could be that the OE one was UK made, replacement will not be from UK as we don't manufacture any more

And me!! I've had my hands in the oily bits of cars and motor bikes for as long as I can remember. As an old bald fella now I might not know much about my TF, because I haven't yet had too many problems with it. Also fiddling around with cars in the cold and wet doesn't have the same appeal as it used to. By the way Ken and Clara, I bought a `74 RWA Midget in 1976. A great car and I think the only car which I regret selling. Unfortunately it was a little small for a pregnant wife and a pram. Cols
