I’ve been carved up a few times recently, on roundabouts particularly, and the horn on my car is so pathetic I felt unable to give these morons the benefit of my opinion. The horn is a single low tone (more penny pinching by MG Rover?) so I could fit the matching high tone or try something more impressive. If you’re going to have a horn, have a good one I say. I fitted air horns once to a VW Beetle once, but found them troublesome. Anyone got any suggestions? Cols

Fit the other horn that was missed out for a time. Original Fs had them, my 02 TF has two, then one was fitted before going back to two horns .

I fitted a High tone horn from scrap Metro, connecting and soldering the wiring into the existing Low tone horn. The mounting bracket bolted to an adjacent threaded hole on the inner wing. Simple job, which makes a world of difference !

I know it is annoying but they will not even know the horn is being sounded at them because they have not done anything wrong [so they think ]
FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO

Anyone know where I can buy the female connector for the additional horn? The workshop manual gives it a reference number YPC 10070.
Also the wiring loom which feeds the horn and the ABS sensor close by feels as if it has an extra cable or cables inside which have been folded back. Are these for the second horn which would have been fitted to some models or was the power from the second horn taken from the first one, if you see what I mean.
Unfortunately the wiring diagram dated 1/8/2003 in my workshop manual only shows one horn fitted.

You can be the first Slit the harness wrapping and have a look - no harm done.
