Not really much use in built up areas, but in pitch black the white light will be useful. The red part of the lens is very useful as a safety feature in urban roads in poor light/dark.

Tested the one light I've done, and very pleased.
Gives enough light onto the ground, with a safety red element and looks like they should have been there from new.
Second light on order and coming in Tuesday as the wiring is already in waiting for delicate surgery on the second door card.

VW Golf Mk4 lights?
Just got to run thin wiring through the rubber grommet/tube near the door hinges to the interior lights in each footwell.
