I heard today that the Wales Rally GB ( What sort of a name is that : is in doubt this year after the Welsh Assembly have withdrawn funding, although, supposedly, contractually obligated until 2010. I guess this will give Jerry a free weekend 21st October.....

2 Million Quid is not a lot really considering the revenue it brings all for South & Mid Wales, the flack is still flying down here at mo but think sense will prevail in the end, it's just politics and some pratts trying to make a name for themselves ;D bring back car parking charges at Hospitals and charge a £1 for prescritions to pay for it i say ;D ;D

The agreement was until 2011, and the 2010 event is still under discussion. My spies tell me it will be included. Worst case it would have been one year in the next three. WAG may well have shot themselves in the foot - we'll have to see www.walesrallygb.com/52_859.php

Sounds like 2010 WRGB might well be back on if ratified by the FIA.
