Yup, had to take the MD, John round in my SJ after the ecu on the Evo 10 had a fault and they wanted an accurate mileage of the stages they ran yesterday and today www.racecar.com/story.asp?NewsID=27057The service crew stopped working on the Evo as he got in and we blasted off. I had the last laugh as we got a good time, and no rocks through my sumpgaurd. They were replacing their sumpgaurd ;D Even the development driver Lassi Lampi thought the SJ was a good little car ;D ;D Lots of urban myths exploded after chatting to the service guys. They had 6 tins of WD40 emptied in the dirt Also had a long talk to two guys from Italy from Brembo brakes about pads/calipers/discs - very interesting. Also another chat with two French guys about Eibach springs/dampers they were experimenting with - also very interesting. Testing with Gyndaf Evans next week, just hope he's not driving his bus

Off again tomorrow on a paid assignment to Walters Arena ;D Only snag it will be in the TF My little SJ is in the bodyshop for battle damage repairs - a rock and a tight Scotsman , which means I will have to travel on gravel roads Not happy, but you have to do what you have to do ;D ps, just thought I could try drifting on the old coal storage area which is smooth concrete covered in dirt, and a few acceleration blasts to check out the HGF repair ;D

Poor TF - underside covered in mud, gravel, stone dust.
Still, got paid and the car is washed again.

and the car is washed again. Again Blimey... what ever next.... polish ;D Yup, and polished. Also bought a Nenette duster thingie to keep it dust free on runs Subtle bling needs more exposure - how often do you see a red Aston Martin Most are in X-power derivatives, along with up-market Porsche models. Less can be more when it comes to looking exclusive

Up at 05.30 today and tomorrow testing 8 cars. The team boss rolled up today in a sunspot Lambo, 09 plate - stunning. A bit like a TF really, mid engined, big wheels and big brakes ;D The brakes were 6 or 8 pot on the front, and 6 or 4 pot on the back, composite discs, composite body, stunning paint, 19" wheels, exhaust pipes you could put your boot in However, I had to take the team manager round the course and sort a niggle for him, and ended up reversing the course for him - he is paying He sort of, almost, not quiet said that the SJ was a good little runner after we 4 wheel powered round a downhill loose gravel bend with a drop and a waterfall underneath. He was either impressed, or frightened ;D

Lambo gone today, another guy rolled up in a V12 Aston M Advantage instead, XPG. Disc brakes to die for, looked like carbon fibre/composite, enormous, much too good for that car The guy asked why I was lying on the floor looking at his discs - silly man The front of the Aston looks like a TF, especially in XPG. One of the cars out for setting up was a Porshe 911 for historic events, awesome
