I'm giving my unreliable SMax back to ford soon and fancy going for the MG hat-trick with a ZT-T.
Monty Smith has a nice V8, but at 21mpg I can't quite justify it!!
It seems to me a choice between a fully loaded V6 SE or a plus diesel model.
I need a motorway cruiser to do 60 miles a day up the North Devon link road and back, and fancy some nice extras and a bit of poke.
So, V6 or diesel, pros and cons please!

i regularly get 27mpg out of my V8! Not much less than a V6 190 Classic insurnace via Peter Best, and servicing costs can be less than the V6 - eg no nasty cambelt changes at 60k. Dont discount the V8 - you know it makes sense!

Colin, I'd convinced myself not to be lead into temptation of the V8!! I have some doubts now. So, its V8, V6 or CDTi. The budget is 7k, anyone seen anything decent for sale that's not on eBay or Autotrader?

Do you actually need the ZT space/room, or have you considered a ZS. Sold my 54 plate ZS180 exactly one year ago for considerably less than your budget - and that was a flying machine

Found two in Havant!
Went for the 135+ ZTT CDTi.
54 model, 47k miles, not a mark on it, starlight silver to match my missus ZR.
I'll post a piccy or two when I've picked it up next weekend.
I've pre ordered some mods already!
