To call 'Wales Rally GB' a rally is an insult The event these days is more of a treasure hunt around Wales rather then the full blooded true GB rally it was back in the good old days of the 70's, 80's and early 90's. In addition, the attempt to try and corale spectators into defined areas and to charge them for the priviledge of standing in a cold wet forest is ludicrous, leads to humungous traffic jams and detracts from any enjoyment. Just a couple of the reasons I don't compete, marshall or even spectate any more /rant over

Couldn't agree with you more Mike ;D, i used to go regular to the Eppynt stages for years and years early hours of the morning with just a flask of oxo ;D ,it's become bit sad now with all the rules and regs of where and when you can view rally and cosst you a fortune as well, all the do gooders spoil it,it makes big news when one gets caught speeding and it's unfortunate some injuries and even deaths occur, but accidents will still happen, now you just have to pay lots to see them happen ; Safety issuses have gone way over the top in this country with everything saying that i'm all for safety but blinking heck it's mad now,Rallying was always a bit hairy and scary but thats the sport or was,it's even boring ob TV now as well, thats my twopenneth,Dave now takes a dive ;D

Up at 05.00, just back ;D What a miserable lot you are Imagine me saying that things change with time ;D Anyway, took camera but no pics. Because I'm only a bit player, I get slightly involved with the running, and then watch for free. Sounds like a good plan to me Anyway, off to Hay on Wye in the TF tomorrow for a meeting - life's a pregnant dog
