2 hours Phil!! What did you polish, the bonnet. Did mine in 10 minutes after all the first 15 miles form my house is back roads past half a dozen farms and it will be stinking again before I get to any civilization so why waste anymore time cleaning it.

Quite sunny here in Gwent.. let's hope Llandovery is the same..

Big thanks to Phil & Lesley for organising todays run. Weather turned out to be good for hood down driving. Not many days recently where we can say that!

Yes - thanks for a fantastic run. Just what dr ordered to recharge our batteries 2 Quotes of the day: 1 Lesley's only words of guidance on the first run was - to 'break a bit earlier in to the corners' 2 Stavros hangs back as he 'wants to play!' He forgot to say he wanted to play hide and seek and ends up 'geographically embarrassed!!!

Currently uploading the pick of the photos I took today and will drop a link here for anyone to visit and re-post to faceBook etc for other folks. Thanks for a great day, my first car rally ever and thankful the weather also held, though I wish I had dropped the top before everyone got to me. Stickers applied, Jan! And here's a link to the folder on dropbox. Feel free to post. Link to Pics

Another thanks to Phil and Lesley from me, I know the effort that goes into organising runs so much appreciation from me. Some fantastic roads today and I wished I'd come along after the pub as I didn't get the sunset photo I'd gone looking for at Llangorse lake anyway Guvs it was great to see you briefly on that bike of yours (isn't it time you bought another MG though! Mod it was lovely to meet you, apologies about the confusion with your name, I assumed it was just a forum name as you have a Mod(ified) F! Thanks for leading the second group after lunch, I think it was a good idea of Lesley's to split into more manageable groups as it can be difficult to keep that many cars together specially with some challenging roads and other influences such as trucks and bikes. A great day out, we got very lucky with the weather and it definitely blew the cobwebs away. A few photos from Barry -

Thanks to everyone for turning up today, we had a great time, and the weather stayed nice for us. I didn't take many photos, so there are only 3 to upload. Phil & Lesley

Thanks for organising a great run Phil. My boot open light came on in Llandovery, so I had to stop to close it & by then I had lost the convoy! As I have been suffering from swollen ankles, I thought it prudent to head home then. I tried to take some videos of the run but will have to see if they are any good.

Genuine conversation I had with a customer in work today!
C: "How's the little MG of yours going?" M: "Very good, joined a rally around the area with the South Wales MG group yesterday actually, good day! We went up around the top of Llyn Brianne and down to town here." C: "Sounds good. I think one of them might have been following behind me going towards Tregaron yesterday. Looked a bit lost." M: "Hmm, could be... Wait, was it bright orange?" C: "Yeah, actually." M: "Yep."

OK, I might have been a little bit lost but it wasn't easy "peeling" away from the group.

No worries it happens to everyone now and then! The Tregaron road is pretty nice though, and the route back past Strata Florida monastery remains would be a good drive on a sunny day.
