Oz sort out your windstop!!!!!! Can't put your roof up when driving if that's in place so I should decide whether to ebay it or Frisbee it but I'm sure it's not for me.

Thanks Jan & Andy for organising the run. Pity about the rain as it would have been a picturesque route. Good job I left before the suite [only 2 miles from home], as I was already stuffed! I must say that your group seem one of the best supported independant MG clubs - well done to all members. Ever thought of doing a holiday run abroad?

We are with you Oz. We got rid if ours I think I bought yours didn't I? A mesh one? I liked that one in terms of effectiveness, I've got a Mike Satur one on there with the roll hoops at the mo instead, but still have the mesh one ready for when I change my mind again

<removed quote as it wasn't working properly!>
We're very lucky in South Wales in that we've always been well supported, it goes quiet at times, but that's the nature of car clubs in general I guess.
There has been a few holidays orgainised in the past - I, along with a number of others still here, went to Ireland and then France with SWMG a number of years ago, and there was another Ireland trip that I didn't make. Ken and Clara go to Jersey most years with their Midget (I think of it as abroad as you have to go over water to get there!) and I think a few others have joined on those trips too. They also did a mammoth Arctic trip in their midget last year which looked incredible.
With friends from other areas, I've driven to Italy and France along with a couple of UK holidays.
So we do get away a bit further afield, but not necessarily all together as a South Wales group.

We did the other Ireland Tour along with Oz and Louise and we have done a Jersey Weekender for many years as well - we usually take one of the midgets but we did take the TF a couple of years ago.
I did think of sorting out another tour but we just don't have the time - last year we took the midget on an Arctic Challenge and this year we took the TF to Italy on an organised tour for the Millie Miglia (should have been lotus but HGF two weeks before!) and next year the Canadian Rockies. So unless I some how manage to get more leave we can't do anything next year again.
There are loads of organised tours out there which you could attend either individually or as a group that are really very good. We can recommend Scenic Car Tours so if anyone did fancy a far flung tour it wouldn't take any effort.
The Jersey weekender is a good weekend (sorry biased as we do help organise the weekend) and is open to all MGs - next year it is 6-8th May - if any one wants details let me know and I will forward them on.
