Gulp!! Just had a rough weekend on WRGB - sleeping in the Skoda etc and cleaning up today. Away on Wednesday to Scotland for another motorsport event, coming home next Monday. Vaguely looks like meeting at the first reservoir layby on the A470 north of Merthyr: Grid ref SO 991 850, just past Llwyn-on village on the left. Usually has a mobile food trailer!! Say 11.00. Move onto a bite at the Brecon Beacons Visitors Centre, then some twiddly bits until we turn up at Erwood Craft Station, which does afternoon tea/coffee/cakes and then onto Penderyn Distillery. 104.20 miles (+/-

Sorry jerry but your grid ref means nothing to me its not an area i know. Is the village called llwyn-on or llwynon I can find the second on a map,it would be good to know i'm going to the right place. All layby's look much the same to me and every other layby has probably got a snack bar in it, any chance of some thing that will work in a sat nav?.

Sounds like a great run and local to me, but Rainbow decided to take a ride on a low loader on the weekend and is now still in West wales. Luckily only alternator trouble, but can't get down to collect for 2 weeks as I've got commitments :-( if anything changes will let you know. Have a great day Tony

Oz will get clarification from Jerry next week.
In the meantime for thise of us from the East I suggest a meet up at services at junction 33 at 10.00 with an aim to leave by 10.15
Jerry has suggested that we might like to consider a tour at Penderyn on the Saturday at 4. If anyone fancies that please let me know ASAP so I can book it up.
Jerry is also joining us for a meal but it is not too late if anyone else wants to come along.

Lesley & I will meet you at Jerry's lay by... I reckon its the laybay by the side of Llwynon Reservoir on the A470.. all providing I can get the brake lights working this weekend... suddenly packed up on Monday - fuse is OK 'cos reverse lamps work. I've got a new pedal switch... Whatever, we'll be along in one of the cars, Lesley has the 120d rag top back now after the body works. As we're not staying over Lesley may be interested in the Whiskey tour on Saturday - I'll check out when I get home and post again tonight.

The post code CF48 2HT should get you somewhere close.
We'll take in Pendryn to stock up, but will skip the tour irrespective of when it is as we've done it before.
See y'all Saturday

Brake light problem resolved by fitting new pedal switch, so we'll be in the F. We'll do the Whskey tour on the Saturday if people are doing that. Looking forward to the run. Hope it's a bit warmer than today - minus 1 on Caerphilly Mountain this morning.

Ok - I will see if we can get the tour boked tomorrow. Mind you not sure that we will be in the TF. An intermittent power problem has reared its ugly head and I am not sure Ken will get a chance to fix it so I think we will be taking the position of shams at the rear in the Lotus

Lesley & I will meet you at Jerry's lay by... I reckon its the laybay by the side of Llwynon Reservoir on the A470 Phil Phew - rough last week or two. Back from Scotland, rally car testing and WRGB - Skoda sort of cleaned underneath and been getting Christmas things out from hibernation. Yes, that looks about the right post code , just as you come through Llwyn-on village from the south on the A470 before a long straight, there is a layby used by the fishing fraternity on the left by the reservoir. There is normally food etc there, and if I can get there early enough I'll stand on the roadside looking cold/wet etc This is all a bit last minute.com for me, as I'm still adjusting to sorting out everything on my own Hopefully we can all turn up approx. on time, the only bit I'm not sure about is the road over the Epynt ranges, but we'll deal with any problems, if any, when we get there. See you there.
