Anyone local want to help us get set up on Mermaid Quay first thing Sat morning? Showing off an old TF (1953) and a new (ish) one to tout for MG CC members and Sept event in the Oval basin. Just collected 2 x 12m x 4 m marquees, 6 boxes of mags and bumpf and some MG CC banners from MG CC Abingdon in our trailer behind Di's car. Need some help to put one of the marquees up  The marquees are really for the Sept event, one in Mermaid Quay car park as reception for the event, and the other in Big Pit as an office for Elinor and Andrew plus Greyfox in sorting out trip options from Big Pit onwards. |

what time we looking at gentlemen as i have my car booked in for an mot at 9.30 so i'm guessing that the earliest i could be with you is around the 10.45 mark

I just hope the marquee springs into action ;D ;D should be quite funny to watch Jerry and i put this big thing up ;Di hope it's not busy at 9.30am in Bay ha ha Jerry i will also be bringing a chair as my little legs have had it this week and need a sit down on me day orf ;D ;D ;D Anyone else about then? Di and I managed to get the folding metal framework, roof and sides, box of heavy duty pegs etc all in her car and down to Mermaid Quay, safely locked up in an unused shop unit ;D I had a bargain buy today at B&Q of a trolley thingie which we can cart the stuff around with, so that will save a lot of faffing in the morning. I also got 12 empty sand bags, just need filling with sand as weights for the marquees If we can use the shop unit again in Sept, it would make life a lot easier on the Saturday morning in Mermaid Quay car park. Might need a bit of help first thing in the morning in setting up though before you all shoot off on your mystery tour ;D Not heard from the local MG agent, so that's no new MG then tomorrow Let's hope they come up with the goods in September. |

Been busy all day also, printed out loads of stuff for tomorrow,i've managed to get 3 filled snadbags and will bring down with me as i'm using my dads car to bring the marquee back to take to Big Pit car park for the Sat morning visit manned by Andrew,Elinor and Greyfox.laminated some more Register arrow direction signs to give to Andrew to add to the 20 odd he alreay has, i have a load as well as Jerry and these A4 size arrow signs will be dotted aroound the full run just for reasurrance your on the right track ;D bought new Sony 8.1 pix camera today and on charge at mo, hope i have time to read instructions tonight,see some of you tomorrow poss ;D ;D

hi guys im in work friday night but i know im only a little chap but if i can help you out on sat morning just send me an e-mail with the time and directions , i finnish work at 7 am so could be there for around 8.30 if thats any good. just yelllllllllll and the little bug will try to help you guys out .  |

Wow, no sleep and you want to help to set the start marquee up - man of the match already  Your offer of help is gratefully received. Seriously though, we could do with 3/4 early risers as well down Mermaid Quay car park on the Saturday morning, 6th Sept, to sort out the marquee, signs outside, paperwork, general marshalling of cars in from the road to the top floor etc. Andrew, Elinor and Brian will be doing the same up at Big Pit, and would be grateful for help with a duplicate operation I'm sure. Still time to nip down to Cardiff and start if doing the run - just |
