Hi Al,came through this jcn24 today at 5pm and not bad,had been to Newport pics to see new Harry Potter film, are you thinking of easiest route from M4 jcn24 Coldra roundabout ? this gets a tad busy from 5.30pm to about 6.15pm or so but should be ok at about 7pm when you arrive at this point, best route id'e thave thought, from this jcn24 take the A449 Dual Carriageway towards Monmouth and it's about 6 miles to Usk and will be your first turing off on left off this road which is entrance to Usk town, as you come off dual carriageway ent to usk town watch out for speed camera on left as you come into the town,stay on this road as is main road through small town and when you come to shops ect the pub is on right hand side and is at far end of town on right by by Zebra Crossing, car park at rear, hope this helps.Dave Coldra Roundabout jcn24 and onto A449  |

Have you been playing with your Road Angel again? (I'm still not convinced thats not a leggy blonde ) Yeah, thats great Dave....(you know me, up the M4, then turn left!) but I'm guessing about an hour an a half from Swansea (quicker if SO driving), i'm probably going to leave about 5.45pm/6pm when traffic has petered out. By the time I reach Cardiff I should hopefully have missed the evening rush hour and should all be clear by the time I reach j24. Thanks for details about whereabouts of pub in Usk (thats the point where I take a very scenic route (lost again  ....) Al |
