I know this is supposed to be a gallery page, but I've decided to use mine as a bit of a diary for my F and its progress throughout my ownership - and thought I had better get on with it sooner rather than later seeing as I might not own it for too much longer.
I bought my F in April 2007 knowing nothing about MGs or more specifically MGFs in the slightest - I just saw it on a local dealer forecourt and thought that it had my name written all over it! At the time of purchase it was completely standard and looked like this:
The first job I did on my F was to replace the front and rear badges as they were in a very sorry state when I bought it, and the first thing I added to the car was a windstop - this one being a nifty little one which had velcro straps to fit around the headrests. You can just about see it on this pic (which also happens to have been taken at my first SWMGF meet at Cotswold Wildlife Park):
The only trouble with meets like this is that you get to look at other peoples cars and I came away with a long list of goodies which I wanted! My next purchase was a Daytona exhaust and around at the same time I bought my personalised number plate:
The next pic was taken on Dave's run during the Pencelli camping weekend, nothing remarkable about the car on this pic - it was the first run I'd been on though that showed me some of the beautiful views around me that I was unaware of:
By the time Fest came about in August, I had added smoked lights to my F - and whilst at Fest added roll hoops, wind stop and a bargain glass screened hood:
The installation of my stereo and speakers remained incomplete after Fest, so Kris xf had another go at getting it done later in August:
Later still in August I attended an MGOT Activity Day in North Weald - in this pic I was queueing for my go at one of the cone circuits:
September was time for servicing and here we have a never before seen pic of Dr Dave in action replacing my cam belt!
September also saw me attending the Heart of England Run - and parking next to a yellow TF started to seal my poor F's fate when I realised how much I preferred yellow to tahiti blue:
Also in September my new wheels finally arrived after waiting what seemed like an age for them:
But they appeared to have something missing so I soon rectified that by added AP Racing brakes and MG logo centre caps:
At the same time as fitting the brakes, I also added the best mod yet - a Rover 820 air box to enclose my (already fitted) K&N 57i cone filter, thus turning it from just an induction kit into an enclosed induction kit - best £10 I ever spent on my F
The next was only a small thing - dash rings, but I felt it made the dash look that bit nicer
Only very recently did I add part of the slick shift kit:
Along with a momo gear knob:
And finally (!) my HID lights:
The only thing that remains for me to do now is to take it all back off and re-fit it to my TF when I get it!!
You may be glad to know however that I often have a little help when I am outside working on the car.....
